From The Keahole Airport Go out to the main highway and take a right towards Kailua-Kona (town). This road is Highway 19 or the Queen Ka'a'humanu Highway. You will only travel on this road for 1/4 to the first traffic light. Take a left at this light; you are now on Kaiminani. Travel about four miles up this road to the end and turn right. You are now on Highway 190, the upper highway, also known as Mamalahoa Highway. You will be on this road for a little less than a mile and will pass the following signs/markers: Two Church of God signs; a road sign for Kaloko Drive; and two amber street lights. Just after the second (faint) amber street light, look for a small green elevation marker (1500 feet) on the right. The turn for Silver Oaks Ranch is IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ELEVATION MARKER. You will turn right onto an unmarked concrete driveway. You will see the Silver Oaks Ranch sign as you turn. You will be on a concrete road and will pass through a rock wall/pillared entrance. Proceed down the hill for an eighth of a mile; you will go over 3 speed bumps. The third one is black and yellow striped. On the left is a high rock wall with an electric gate which may be open. "Silver Oaks Ranch" is on the right side of the gate on the rock wall. Turn left and pass through the electric gate and down the hill to the right to the main house.

Pass the turnoff to Holualoa (Rts 180/190), and the Hina Lani Street traffic light, all at about four miles. You will pass a 45 MPH sign after about 300 feet. Proceed a little less than one more mile and you will see another "45 MPH" sign on the right side. Our turn is directly across from that sign on the left or ocean side. There are two amber street lights just after the turn that are good markers in the evening. The turn is about 50 feet before the first one.
